Help Support Scale Model Addict:

I was approaching a bit of kit burnout on this, so I made the "Command Decision" to abandon the fabrication/build of the Shotgun and mount, so.. with the additions of the fairing, flashlight holder, etc., I'm calling this one done.
This was a nice kit, I went down a few rabbit holes, that I didn't plan on, which lengthened the time of the build. It's a nice kit, though there are some fit issues, at least there was with mine.
I added the details of my own bike, such as the flashlight holder, and airbrushed Great White Shark along the side of the fairing.
Overall, this was a fun build, but it's time to move on.
I had a left-over piece of foam board, so I slapped a couple of white lines on it and used it as a stand to hold the bike as I finished it up, this helped keep me from breaking more things off and having to fix them. I'll add a couple of photos of the real bike- and you can see how close I got.
So, we'll call the Kawasaki KZ 1000 done- There are some things I would've done differently with the benefit of hindsight, and would improve, but we're moving on.
Thanks for following along.

I discovered the AI App on my phone last night, (Gemini) and let it retouch some photos, one of which was the Kawasaki, I was amazed at how easy it was to edit/alter this photo.
Pretty cool shot to "showcase" the build-

It's funny that the use of AI is controversial. I don't see the problem as long as people acknowledge its use and don't use it to alter their work.

I've never used it- I truly was scrolling through unused apps on my phone, and when I found this, I asked my wife what it was for, (which is typical) she said it was the AI, and when I opened it, it gave me options. I figured "let's see what it can do with a photo".. and put the photo in.
I was amazed at how it basically did what would take me hours in about 10 seconds. I then spent the next hour, inputting all of the model photos, asking for different scenarios and it did it. A few needed "fixing", but it's a fun tool. I can't really say I'll use it for anything else. Using it to put a model into a cool image is, well- fun and easier than trying to do it by hand, which I've done and takes almost days.
But why not use it to showcase model work? Again, provided one doesn't claim something AI did, such as the lights in this photo- I didn't light the motorcycle, AI did, and did a nice job. ;)

A.I. doesn't know how big a motorcycle is
No it doesn't, I even tried to tell it when it did this photo, "make the motorcycle life sized". It basically did the same photo with a slightly different position.
So, like a little kid, you have to be very specific and it's still very limited, at least on my phone.

I've found with corrections it works better if you start all over.

Good to know, thanks- I've been pretty actively playing with it, inputting all of my model photos, putting them into respective "appropriate" environments.
Pretty amazing and frankly, fun.

Yes I've found it'll handle 1-2 corrections but after that things can get wonky. Here's one I did with a recent model build. (The background is AI 🤣).
