I have tried using Looks Like Glass before , but I am a slow learner. It is basically expensive Future, but I bought it, so need to try and use it.
When I have used it on canopies before I may not have let it dry enough. It says ready in 2 hours, but I seriously doubt that.
The issue is that once it is coated it looks good, but as soon as I started handling it (after a few hours or even a day) to mask it, the canopy got fingerprints in the clear coating. I tried vinyl gloves and even though the thin gloves seemed to have no grip texture, they left a texture marks on the clear coat. When I used masking (Tamiya yellow tape) and removed it, it left texture marks also.
This time I am trying to let it really dry before handling or masking the canopy, but am still afraid I will get all done, spray on the final matte coat, remove the masking, and find the canopy clear coat cloudy from the tape.
Has anybody ran into issues with Looks Like Glass specifically, or similar issues with other clear plastic clear coat products, like Future?
Do the issues go away with a lot of drying time before any handling and masking, like a week?
Thanks
