Looks great! If I ever try to light this kit (or the Reliant), I'd just do the warp nacelles and such but avoid the nav lights and collision strobes. At that scale, it'd be a headache.
If I were to build a lit version of this kit I'd use blue or purple LED strips for the warp nacelles.
You can get them in nano scales now. The trick would be diffusing the light to avoid hot spots and achieve a nice even glow, which becomes more difficult in tight spaces like inside the nacelles. Lighting the windows would be simple (after drilling them out) using cool white LEDs and strips using cotton balls or milk jug plastic to prevent beaconing. For flashers and strobes I'd use a small Tenacontrols board to power fiber optic strands using heat at the tips to melt the ends and form tiny bulbs which i would paint red or green using Tamiya transparent acrylic paint.
So in my mind the biggest challenge would be the warp nacelle glow and, possibly, lighting the deflector dish as it's molded in white plastic, if I recall correctly, rather than being a clear part. I'd probably just install a bright cool white LED inside, close to and centered on the dish letting the light shine thru the plastic and then either apply a decal on the outside to get the gradual fade from bright white in the center to blue around the rim. Alternatively, I could paint it, but I think a decal would work best. Now if i really wanted to trick it out I'd use the Raytheon effect to shine thru the plastic for the saucer and secondary hull ffloodlights and smaller spotls and floods elsewhere on the hull.
Doing all this should only take about 5-6 months at the rate I build!

A year and a half. Yep. Model building, done right with all the bells and whistles, is a marathon, not a sprint! So Chris, got any pics to share of your lit 1/350?
