Starting to look like a ship...

@GCB That has to be one of the cleanest builds of Mighty Mo I have seen. Your PE work, especially the main mast array is killer! If this is your first ship build, you are knocking it out of the ball park and parking lot! You've got to build more ships my friend, you are already mastering some of the hardest parts of ship building....Bravo!

Thanks Dan, appreciated.. From distance looks ok, but from close, not so nice.
Some nice painting such as the blue decks (and I spent time doing the paint) are ruined when gluing the PE parts.
Plus some handrails are already bent. But learning, as yes, this is my first ship.
Anyhow, moving alone... Handrails on main deck is next challenge. Then may try some rigging (ordered EZ lines).
And the Revell Bismarck with Pontos upgrade arrived.. So, those will be for future.

I'm finding out the biggest challenge on my IOWA is working through the frustrations. It makes the end result that much sweeter when it all comes together though. Your MISSOURI is looking great.
Kevin, thanks, and agree with you: often frustration, but when looking from further away, some satisfaction...

Looks killer! I don't see anything wrong with the hull, and the rails look nice and straight! I can't even tell how many runs you have going there, looks like all one piece, super clean.
Thanks Dan, and let me see how the starboard side goes.

Hey Dan, thanks for the advice. The issue I have is that the masts are not very strong, so will do the top lines 2 by 2: one port and one starboard, then next two two and the last two.
Then the 4 downward connected to top lines, and then will add some flag lines..

ez line gets to be a PITA when used on painted parts... and of course you cant rig before painting... ive used guitar string for guy wires with success. super clean build. very nice!
Learning that... in fact, it seems quite easy to use, gluing quickly, but the fact that they are elastic may it tricky.. Plus, even if not stretching them much, they ended up bending my aft mast as per pic below (need to find a way to fix this to look better). Moreover, wondering how well they age.... Lesson learnt.

Long project and very interesting. Learnt a lot and enjoy it, even if a lot of frustration.
Next battleship I will build (not now) should be better, but for the time being, a few pictures... and btw, I should learn to make better photos.
