Passed charity shop and in the window this Lego type Titanic model built. Got it for £12or $16, fraction of new retail price. Masts were missing, so black straws will do for now. Grand daughter will do final touches. She has studied the Titanic story with local interest bearing in mind the Liverpool connection. Victims and Captain Lord are buried locally.

Here is a chapter you won't likely come across:

As the railroad crossed Canada from east to west, there sprung up grand hotels in the major cities, literally across the street from the railway stations.
In Ottawa, it was the Chateau Laurier, and it's first consignment of fine furniture was to be delivered from Europe, you guessed it, on the Titanic!
