Hobby Craft 1/72 Sukhoi SU-22 Fitter - COMPLETED

Busted out another old, stalled-out build that I want to get off the books this year. Not a great kit: incorrect dimensions, poor fit, missing some locator holes, lost the ejections seats somewhere along the way, but hey, it's something to build while I wait for paint to dry on the F-105G.

Got the underside color and some post-shading done. I feel good about putting this aside now so I can get started on the Burning Rubber Group Build tomorrow.

I do the same thing, put stuff into the closet for weeks sometimes months, keep pulling them out eventually and making some progress, only to put them back away for a while.

A marketing man would call that incremental improvement. I tend to blame the squirrels.

Long holiday weekend means time to paint. Here's my camo process for the Sukhoi. Freehanding is beyond my ability.

Yeah, good times. And the poster tack wasn't sticking as well as it normally does.

Got all the parts installed, not easy as there are not many locator pins, kinda have to guess where they go. Hope to glosscote tomorrow.

Most of the decals dissolved or absolutely would not release so I'm down to just using scraps now.
