KP 1/72 Skoda D.1 COMPLETED

Let's knock out a little Skoda (aka Dewoitine D.21) while we're waiting on other things. Found this with no box and no decals. I probably have some Czech markings in the bin somewhere.

Took me at least 30 minutes to get all the struts aligned right to glue the wing on. After letting it set up, my hand slipped while inserting the toothpick. Garrrr.

Great build on the Skoda D1! I love how detailed 1:72 scale kits can get. Did you find any tricky parts during assembly? I'm always curious about how well these smaller scales handle intricate details.

Yeah, getting the wing struts aligned so that the wing sits straight and level is a chore. Other than that, it's a pretty nice little build.

Got it put back together (dont look too close though) and in gloss black primer in preparation for the silver coat this weekend.

That craft does not meet all aerodynamics that we understand today, but (IMO) I can see an artist at heart behind the lead designer.
