HI Rob thanks yes the wirein is intricate but it all works ok an it was a devil to work out what wirein an where to place it an its goin to be a job to fit the fusealarge on as its all got to go in place first time so i'll be doin some dry fits before gluein an thanks for your instest in the build as it now seems im gettin somewhereThat looks like a lot of intricate wiring work. Very interesting following this build, Boatman. I think it's a perfect plane for all this wiring. That's a big plane
YES Steve its comin on but im dreading tryin to A/B OR brush paint the cammo but will try my mini A/B firstly on some practice bits of plastic before i comit to the plane as im not very good on thatLooking good mate!
Steve
AN HI Edbert yes i would have liked to have fitted the main feed socket in the landing gear but on these model i really have to mount it on the fusealarge as the models get moved by the missus so she can dust under them so its easyier to have it where its easy to get at as these plugs are so tiny about 3mm an i dont want to brake anything off hope you understand sir but may try an mount it on the under side an hope the plug wont slide out under gravityLeaving a lead/circuit for the lights that would have been mounted to the landing gear?
HI Arnie yes i dint like the clear nose as i want to fit on the shafks mouth an eye an that could nor be done in the clear plastict but dreading to try an A/B the camo over it as its a big aircraft an ive never done it before an im waiting for the tamyia paints to come but then i'll have to do a bit of praticeing to find out how the A/B WORKS as it a cheepy ladyies nail A/B so thats gonna be a challenge as i think airbrushin looks better than hairy stick painting but will see on that an im now at that stage of shall i fit the under cart doors on or will i break them off while sprayin so a big qeustion mark there hope you are well sir an a qeution please are you still on the old SMF as i keep wondering what happened to that chappie DAVE WARD did he get out of hos or has he passed on ?It's all looking very good Chris. I don't blame you for painting over that clear nose, I'd have done the same.
YES Arnie it will be plenty of practicin with the A/B an i dont know if it will spray such a big model so i suppoce it will be a little at a time an yes im off that SMF as i treid to get back on but the chap dint seem to want to know so up to him as i think nearly all the main members are now either on here or on mikes an J/R SITE ANHE IS NOT WELL NOW POOR CHAP as i txt him on my phone as he is in in a lot of pain with sciatia down his right leg an got breathin trouble oh dear hope he gets through it all an yes lets hope dave is okHi Chris. A/B work is obviously better than brush if you know how to do it correctly - so the key is to get a bit of practice. Personally, I'm actually better with the hairy stick. Get some practice in and you'll be okay.
I'm not on SMF no, I nip in and out now and then out of interest, but I think my subscription has expired now and I really didn't get on with the new forum software. I remember Dave, I don't know his current circumstances but I hope he's ok.
Cheers!
HI Sir well if you look at that video of the german phantom it shows clearly the back end of the wind a big red light fitted but i think its a red formation light an i would have fitted them had i knownPhantoms had brake lights? Who knew?![]()
Looking good!
HI Edbert well dont you like to see the red danger marks on the landing gear has ive seen it on real navy aircraft at airshows ?@BOATMAN , you are a beast for doing the red trim on the landing gear and speed brake panels. I can only give one like!
