Aircraft lighting diagrams

Hello all.
I am currently working on a number of different aircraft that I want to light and motorize.
The props running part is easy enough, but knowing the specific lighting set up of different aircraft can get more extensive.
The difference in exterior lighting between a Cessna 150 or 172 and an E2C Hawkeye or a P3 Orion for example is....well...different, beyond the regular port and starboard wing tip lights or the rudder mounted beacon.
The E2C Hawkeye mentioned is the top of the workbench list.
I want to light it but i cant seem to find any diagrams or aircraft lighting maps anywhere.
Does anyone have a resource to point me to, that would show me the different lighting set ups for different aircraft, civil and military?
Thank you in advance

HI WELLi LIKE to light up my planes or ships but no i cant find out much about where the lights are mostly on planes so i just hope i can find the plane im building of the real plane in flight an some times it shows you where the lights are fitted an there maybe more lights but if they are not switched on by the pilot then its all guess work

I did some image and video searching last night on the E2C and while i did find many pics of the plane lit up, nearly every sjngle pic or video just showed the plane from a distance, so it was pretty hard to see specifically where those various lights were.
THinking about it now, maybe some museum walkaround photos may be useful.

I too was looking for the number of lights on a specific aircraft.
And I was surprised to find out there were additional lights I did not know about.
An original technical manual helps.

I found an Operators Manual for my model aircraft that explained the various lighting on the aircraft.
How to turn them on and off, or which came on with certain electrical systems.
I think it also explained when to use different lights.

I'm talking about a 1940s manual for a WW2 aircraft.
I came across various Pilots and aircraft handbooks by scouring the web for them.
But I don't think you will find one depository of all these manuals.

An electrical system diagram for any aircraft will detail the lighting.

I collect some of the smaller books like Squadron "In Action" series, and Profile Publications,
but they don't always details lesser tech info like that.
I love the Japanese "detail" books that mainly provide hundreds of detail photos of a subject.
With time, you can scan the photos and find out what is where.

Thank you so much for that, AirDave. An electrical system diagram and owners manual makes great sense.
