Before I plop down $70 for a F-18 Kinetic kit I wanted to see if anyone has any experience (good/bad) with Kinetic kits? I'm usually a Tamiya, Eduard, Academy, Airfix guy and this would be my first Kinetic kit. thx.

Here is a general overview.

"Kinetic model kits offer great detail, value, and options (like folded wings) but are notorious for inconsistent fit issues, requiring significant filling, sanding, and test-fitting, especially in areas like wing roots, intakes, and landing gear. Newer kits, particularly "Gold" series or F-16s, tend to be better, but expect some challenges; they're best for experienced modelers seeking a rewarding build with stunning potential rather than a simple, perfect out-of-box experience."
