Well I have built a pink tank, spitfire, land rover so it's about time I built a pink bike.

Going to have a little bit of fun with this one, outrageously pink I think !!!! Pantherman

Love the detail that's going into this bike. But then again.....when you say Tamiya.....you've pretty much said it all. Color scheme is bold but definitely cool.

Good job Panther man. Those bikes look really fiddly. Small parts and such. If you have fat sausage fingers and shake a little bit could you still build this?

The beauty of the Tamiya kits are they kinda fall into place, especially the newer bike kit's. I say give it a go. Pantherman

Okay. Cool! Now do you shake the Box kind of soft or do you give it a vigorous Shake to, voila, build it?:)
Kinda like a shake and bake.... definitely worth a go and loads of helpful members to help along the way.

Although I like to get the build right on most of the bike's I've done, sometimes you just got build it how you want. If that little bit that fits somewhere out of sight when the cowling goes on, does it really matter?

Only problem that I have found is if any of the decals need applying around curved parts, there a real pain in the ass. I decided to just paint the decal colour on my latest bike and just cut the number's out of the decals and apply them separately.

The red Ducati was a great build, I would suggest that for a first bike. Pantherman

Okay you talked me into it. I've never built a motorcycle and I was wanting a break from World War II airplanes. Finishing up the zero. Just put details on and sprayed a coat of clear now I'm ready for some wash and weathering and throw the landing gear on. Call it done. I'll head to Andy's in a day or two. I never have ordered my model kits. I've always gone to the Hobby Store and see what they got and choose from their selection. Just a little thing I have about shopping local business. It's good for the economy and it's good for me. I could spend hours in Andy's, and that's just looking at his paint selections. So in other words if I need a model I go and look and if something catches my eye and if I can afford it. I'm getting it. I've been having my eye on that Tamia 132nd Corsair. Oh my God I could spend hundreds on that. And then thousands on a divorce.:-)

Loving the zero, nice. Pantherman

Looks great... and question: why the pink color??
That's a long story. Urumomo started it because I got a panther mixed up with the panzer I was building at the same time. So a bit of a joke turned into the cartoon character pink panther which turned into a photo of a pink panther tank. So I decided to go one better and built a pink panther tank and the rest is history. Pink has kinda stuck with me so every so often I go whackadoddle and build something pink for Urumomo.........and a few others that saw the funny side. Pantherman

What's the deal with the clear bits?

I just opened a 1/48 Tamiya airplane and there's an "optional" fuselage half that is clear.

Is this a new trend?

I built the 1-A within the last year. I was proud of my work at the time, but know I could do better on the 2nd try, it really is an amazing kit, I suspect all three variants are great.

Coming along rather nicely on this one bud. I was wondering about the whole pink Panther picture in your avatar so thanks for explaining that. Funny now that you clarified that. lol
