Hello all. Wrapping up my build of the Hasegawa 1/700 IJN Akagi. Just need to add decals and the fine details such as antenna's and yardarms (flag poles? LOL) and of course the aircraft.

Thanks! Its an upgraded part and all the research I see tells me the color is probably not correct but I love the detail

Color looks great to me, and I also like the subtle variation in wood tones

... but looks like the effort paid dividends!
Cool to see these early carriers with flight decks literally mounted on a more conventional battle cruiser hull.
I'm about halfway through 'Pig Boats' by Roscoe (first pub. 1949), the account of WW2 American subs in the Pacific theater. So your build really helps visualize the Midway scenario!
