The Space Robots from Outer Space are putting a heavy metal band together.

Here's a little more progress on the Space Robot Band. I got the 44 gauge wire. It's way too small. I will try to find something slightly larger. Having fun.

Well howdy there internet people. How many guitars does a Space Robot band need anyway? The answer may surprise you.

They are fun to make and cost pennies, and I like the challenge. I took some pictures while I added strings to the little guys Flying V. This guitar was my prototype to see if I could do it. The tuning pegs are made from tiny brass tacks, pressed flat, bent, and the pointy bit sanded flat. The strings are from stranded wire, like from an extension cord. I needed a mini spindle sander, but I couldn't find one to buy. So I made my own using my laser and stuff I had in the shop. I did have to buy the drill chuck for $10.

I found these cool little 2" speakers, so I made the guitar player a little Bender practice amp.

Can you even imagine the excitement of receiving a roll of 3" wide black masking tape! O.O I reworked the amps and speakers with this awesome covering.
