The definition of land speed racing you work hard risk life and limb for nothing but a record in a book. TH&B was made from another 70s classic the cosmic charger, cut down almost by half swapped the hemi for a modernized all aluminum W head Chevy 509. with screw type blower.

About 50 builds in total in the last 6 years. 12 are land speed racers, in almost as many classes. this one would be AA/BFS AA is an engine bigger than 500ci B is blown or super charged, F is fuel other than pump gas, S is streamliner.

Wow..that's a lot of time at the bench.
I think I've built 4 in the last 4 years.
Waiting for parts takes a while as Amazon usually doesn't have what I need.
Some of the stuff coming from Europe can take a month..

The cars your working on are amazing kits and you trying to make them as offentic as possible is what i respect. When i rework a kit or build one ground up i kind of know what is supposed to go into it so if i cant find parts i make them, its not so much being totally accurate its more like making it look real enough and getting the point across. I like building things that blur the line between reality and fantasy.

I'm running into a problem with the bugatti motor..it has almost 100 nuts and bolts all over it. I like to use real ones..but they are hard to find in this size..and will cost almost 100.00 if I can get them.
Already ordered some for just the front frame rails ..at 30 bucks.
The special safety wire bolts for the body another 35 bucks..coming from Spain so who knows when they arrive..
But..I expect this...
