This is my Revell Snap TIE Fighter. I was inspired by Grendels videos of his quick and simple build of the kit and decided I wanted to do something similar.
The used 91% isopropyl alcohol to strip the paint off the kit (except for the interior) and assembled it out of the box. I did use glue to hold all the parts together instead of relying on the snap fit. The Empire reminds me of the Germans during WWII, so I decided to do a modified Luftwaffe splinter paint scheme on it.
I thought the kit stand looked a little too heavy so I modified it by replacing the vertical parts with a piece of brass rod and added a circle of sheet styrene to the base to hide the kit part attachment locations.
Thanks for looking,
Mark
