All right, next up on the WIP recovery trail:
A Tau Devilfish APC from Warhammer 40k.

This one got as far as a black base coat before being abandoned to the shelf.
Decided to go back in and work on some of the seams, and give her the finish I didn't before.
I've decided to close up the cabin, but still debating on what colors she'll eventually be.

Where she sits now:

The video really shows the seams that need work

Yeah, really cool. Great to see you revisiting unfinished kits. That's inspiring.

it's great to see you bringing these back from the dead Q. Very Cool.

Thanks, guys.
Scott's suggestion about finishing the contest entries, followed by suggestions of dealing with "shelf queens" inspired me to get on some of these.

It's getting the beginnings of color as I write this.

Good stuff as usual Q. What are you planning as your colour scheme?

Going to be different, that's for sure.
Likely go with a candy red over metallics

Nice, my friend is building a Tau army and I'm kind of jealous as the tanks look like they would be fun kits.

Oh Goody!!! Now we're talking!!! ;D

Thanks again for the comments, guys.

Small update today.
Got a primer coat on her, and then got the first color coat.
Bear in mind that, while it's gold now, that will change as the final plan calls for a coat of candy red over the base colors

Looks good man, I'm totally digging the champagne gold base coat colour.

JMac.

Thanks, JMac.

Okay, now that the metallics are done, we may have a slight change in plan.
I'm liking how the gold and graphite dust look together so much that I'm not going to do the coat of candy red over it anymore.

With the base colors on now, I'll go in and do the decals and some light weathering.

Cool choice of colours Q. Got to agree with you, looks sharp without the red. Nice.

I was excited about the candy red Q but I have to agree with your decision. Those colors go well together.

Thanks, muchly, guys. I appreciate the comments.

Okay, I've now added the decals, and done some minor weathering.
I added some black washes to some areas, and drybrushed a little on the engines with Vallejo Smoke.

Thanks, John.
When I took the masking off this morning, I knew I couldn't cover that.
