I used the chrome parts supplied and touched in any bit's with a chrome pen. The bodywork was sprayed with vallejo aluminium air. PM

That looks like more than 'silvered' - I'd say that's a funky decal - like it took just a touch of paper with it.

Hi all, hope this is the best place to ask: I want to start building scale model motorcycles but have limited experience (have done some planes way back) and not a good space to use spray paint. Could any of you recommend me some models suitable for beginners? Will I be able to get somewhat decent results with brush painting?

I would definitely go with Tamiya, the susuki bike I am currently building is a good first bike as relatively cheap and great instructions. Also you can follow us on the group build, even join in, then we can all help if you have any issues or questions.

Hand painting will be fine, just remember it's better to use a few coats of thinned paint rather than a thick single coat as it tends to infill the fine details. Pantherman

Does anyone know of a model of a Yamaha FZ600 sport bike?
I have hunted but find no evidence of a scale model of this fairly important bike.
I owned one brand new in 1986.

I'd love to own a model of my first bike too (a CB450T Hawk) but it seems only real sports style bikes get made as models.

Anyway, I wondered if there was any model I did not know about (of the FZ600)?
