Staff cars used in WWII?

What were the cars used by Army AF as Staff Cars during WWII?

I thought they typically just used Jeeps to get around....can't say I've ever looked into it too heavily

Found this though, http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=19077. Seems Plymouth was quite popular here in the states, but other articles say that in combat areas tactical/ off road vehicles were used or the locally available cars

Yeah they used jeeps but for staff cars they used Fords, Plymouth, Packards and who knows what else.
I'm just trying to figure out what model specifically.
My research leads me to believe most were 1941 ( but not sure).

It says not standardized. So I guess whatever they could get at the time. 40-42 Plymouth Woodie without the wood was what the Navy used as a staff car, I know that for sure
