Not exactly a car but close as I can get for you. Pantherman

Thanks Pantherman very kind it's not quite what I had in mind though. It seems that there are plenty of ww2 German staff cars about but not British. You can get them in 1/72 scale but not 1/35. I will have to rethink what I want to do. Many thanks for getting back cheers Trev

... of course, there is always the Ford C11 ADF, sometimes used in North Africa as a staff car... according to:

Wespe has a rather basic resin kit you'd probably want to enhance, but it is a start...

I used one of these kits to build Sterling's Blitz Buggy.

There is one just down the hill from my house at the Canadian War Museum; purportedly
Sir Harold George Alexander, Field Marshal Viscount Alexander of Tunis, used it when he was in North Africa, Sicily, and Italy during the Second World War.

Thanks for the help guys it's surprising that there isn't a 1/35 scale British staff car perhaps one of the manufacturers might see this and produce one or two. But I appreciate the help cheers Trev

I checked Tamiya's catalog, because they have produced so many WWII kits in 1/35, but they don't have a British staff car, either.

As far as anyone producing one goes, I wouldn't hold my breath. Only if a company thinks it would sell, would they add one. There probably hasn't been much demand for a British staff car.

A web search on "wwii british staff car" returned a good number of hits, including a photo of Montgomery's Humber. A lot of the photos look like the British Army used a lot of civilian cars, repurposed, like the US Army did. Have you tried looking for models of the cars in civilian livery, that you could repurpose for military use?

Cheers Pantherman have to be honest hadn't thought about that I will have a look and get back to you cheers Trev
