Alright, first build post on this forum so hopefully this goes better than north Korea's missle launches. Im going to keep this somewhat short as I finished the build 2 days ago so this is more of a recap I suppose.
This is my attempt at building the Tamiya calsonic skyline GT-R

So everything was going pretty well, I got impatient the last two days, ended up getting fingerprints in the finish and the glass didn't fit correctly so I ended up scratching it up during install. Most of the time I have multiple builds going on at one time so waiting isn't an issue, I just move to the next kit. This I didn't hence why I got impatient. I often times have the patients of a six year old. My wife tells me that my brain stopped developing at a young age, but what ever she's a poopie head. Anyways on to the next one taking with me the things I learned on this build so the next will be better.

What pant and varnish do you use for cars? I just learned about proline and hopefully got my order today so I can finish up my gto.

... as they say about new cars, real and model, "the first scratch is the deepest!"
Pretty fine set of wheels just the same. Nice!
It could have been buffed out but I chose to roll with it, as disappointing as these mistakes are I figure I learn from it so I'll take it.

Most of my projects are tamiya TS line rattle can, unless I'm mixing colors then it's just tamiya x or xf line. As far as clear coats my last few have been Mr.Hobby premium topcoat gloss. I like it but it's been out of stock or crazy expensive for awhile now, I do have a bottle of tamiya clear gloss but I have yet to use it. Honestly I'm not into the over glorified shiny wet look, I like it to shine and look good but I don't want to be blinded when I turn the lights on.

Demo man the build looks great dont sweat the little things. Paint has always been my least favorite part of a build, i resolve myself to not touching the body for at least a day or more. When i see other builders work benches and see all the supply's i wonder what you would all think to see my 4 paint brushes, the dusty testors, rustolyum and duplicolor spray cans in a box along side my bench and the row of 14 little testors bottled paints. Oh yea and the one tube of testors glue, some 5min jb weld epoxy and one bottle of super glue.
