What makes it 'dry brush' paint?
I'm guessing it's been formulated to work well for drybrushing. Some paints work well for that and others don't — try drybrushing with Tamiya acrylics, for example. It can be done, but not easily. OTOH, Vallejo acrylics (the kind for brush-painting) usually work very well for drybrushing.

That should be a pretty good book, I would think. I haven't read (or even seen) it, but his articles in Military Modelling were always well-written and well-researched, and he showed how he did things quite well.

However, I would be surprised if the model on the cover is by John Prigent :) He was very much of the 1970s school of painting: brush only, everything in a single colour with no shading, highlighting or other fancy effects.

(Past tense because he died last year, BTW.)

surprised
You know his work quite well. The book is a reprise of many of his articles, bound in one book, along with sections by invited modelers of note to fill out techniques he felt should be represented in this type of book.

And even though kits, techniques, materials and tools have made great strides in the last 20 years, for me at least, reading through a tome like this is an opportunity to expand my breadth of knowledge and get insights into the thinking processes of some truly inspiring builders/craftsmen/artists.

a good deal of work
Haha, not my first Wespe.
Looking for a kit to recreate Sterling and the boys' Blitz buggy led me to their website. I hadn't been back in the hobby long... So innocent

Kinda partial to them, despite the 'work', as that's how I discovered how much I enjoyed scratch.
Call me a sentimental fool, emphasis on fool!

Wespe is German for "wasp", which explains the name of the SP gun, but I have no idea why a Romanian model kit manufacturer called itself that, too :)

The swastika is an ancient lucky symbol in many cultures. That's why it appears on many First World War aircraft, and also why it was the Finnish national symbol until 1945: the first Finnish military plane was donated by a wealthy individual who had a swastika painted on it for luck.

However, after the NSDAP co-opted the swastika, also usually turning it by 45° compared to how it's traditionally shown, it has become a taboo symbol in many places, and illegal to display for most purposes in some.

Printing up some turnbuckles. I'm finding resin-printing to be much harder than filament. I mean other than the hassles of the material, maybe it is because my resin printer is "Elegoo" and the PLA is "Bambu", the software is much better on one, perhaps that is my stumbling block.

Shushhhhhh, we won't say a word.
It was actually buy one get 2 free!

Edit: By "better" I should have said "intutive", for a nooblet.
