Got this Saturday from a friend of mine. He decided it was to big for him so he gave it to me.

You need to join the Group Build of WWII watercraft. It just started! Several folks are building BB-35, in multiple scales. It is my first Group Build and I think it is pretty relaxed and just for fun.

Why does Russian infantrywoman Tanya, but made by a Japanese company, have a Netherlands flag next to her?

On closer look, there seems to be some kind of darker rectangle in the upper right corner that means it's probably not a Netherlands flag, but I have no idea what it is supposed to be then …

Aha! When I really zoom in on it, yes, I can just make out those words. It just looks like a poorly rendered flag otherwise, though.

You mean the red/white/blue rectangle near the SMG?

That is a watermark added by Sprue Brothers.

Cultural differences, I suppose. When I see red-white-blue horizontal bars, my immediate association is "national flag"

I just ordered a 1/350 Very Fire deluxe kit of IJN Yamato! I'm very excited to have this monster ship with complete upgrades and the all new tooling. Built the old Tamiya ages ago, but this will be a huge challenge and upgrade.

@Edbert it won't be too soon. It will more than likely be after the USS Indianapolis build, but we will see. I may need a break from ships and build a tank...lol.
