I have a good opinion of the higher-end Revell kits. The "Pro Modeller" or the level 5 ones are good IMO.

I want to up my engine detailing game on this one.

Good plan, since it will all be up front and visible. I look forward to seeing your progress, I'd like to build more cars.

I think you'll be fine, no glue or solder, just be careful removing the parts from the "sprue" and take your time.

I had to try the Enterprise kit. I failed. You really have to get all the tabs to lay down so impossibly flush to have it even look recognizable. I'd like to try it with the glue or solder, maybe.
