This is something I built about two years ago , ...... I think , ............. dam the sixties were tough on me .

I used an old Ironsides light flatcar to start .
Already had my inspirational ref. photo .
I used Balsa and Bass wood to form the car .
Stole and reshaped some Italeri Opal Blitz wood panels for sliding doors .
Formed the coupla top .
Clad the car in thin evergreen and half round strips .
Went to town on the bullit damage .
Shown 99.99% complete with some Dragon and Verlinden figs.

May not be too accurate but I loved building it .
Comments were about why no exit rounds were on the other side , ......... told ya , ........... the sixties .

How about there was a lot of cargo in the car and no rouds made it through ;D ?

Sweet scratchbuilding work Cheyenne, really well finished.

I think the figures go really well, looks like they are discussing what's happened.

Are you going to put this into a diorama? I think that an interesting setting would make this really stand out.

Great work

Thanks man , I actually have a train station [ in progress , ..... always in progress ;D ] .
I'm thinkin of posting that here also , ....... lotsa , lotsa pics. though .

At one time I was going to use the patrol boat in the background of the box car pics. and the train station and make one biiiiig dio , ..... maybe some day .

Excellent work there!!! Nice bit of Scratch Building and a cool subject!! Love the bullet damage!! Outstanding work!!... Looking forward to seeing more on this one as you add more!!! ;)

I am floored by the detail ! I really enjoy the feeling of realism, now, on the inside are there some dents and some gore or anything of the sort ?
