It was a 1/48 scale Westland Lysander i needed an old plane with a large cockpit i could reshape, after cutting and moving the top of the wind screen cowling back only about 1/4 of the original cockpit glass is left. The back of the engine is sitting where the pilot should be. From that point forward is all hand made, and the wheels are 1/25 semi truck. Check out hobby linc lots of selection and good prices, a 1/48 scale plane is the right size to make a 1/25 scale car out of. Would love to hear what your thinking about a build.Cool..what did you make it from.
The old demon would make a cool salt car, but yea that price i saw it and the Fiat when i stopped into hobbylinc, they have a 1/24 1930 Bently blower racer for 35 bucks that would make a good old old school salty restomod like your thinking. Using the original blown motor would be great with a modern drive line and wheels and maybe a roll cage to make it legal in modern times. My build would be a bit nuts. I'm almost finished with the mephistophelese..and though what one would look like if it was somewhat modernized..it would end up very expensive though.
Supercharge the motor..its about 27 liters..convert to rear drive from chain..all modern hoses and fittings..carbon fiber body and floor..modern wheels and tires..
Buying another one of these..well this one took over a year..and still not done.
I have the bugatti going on now and another Fiat coming..
But maybe try out something smaller while I'm doing these..
