A few race forms have made classes for trucks, nascar drag racing and baja and stadium trucks, in Europe they race semi tractors. Well i thought it was time for F1 to give them a go. And of course they would have to be replicas from the 40s and 50s cause newer pickups are just to plain and ugly. 1953 chevy panel truck cab a Ferrary chassis and 12cyl blown chevy LSX for power.

What do you use to cut your body's? And did you ever finish this project?
Jewelers quality motor tool with a shaft and foot pedal speed control i can run from 0 to 20,000 rpm, cut off wheels and sanding drums. The sanding drums from dremel are great they come in 3 or 4 grits and i think about 3 diameters, they do wheel wells and other radius cuts perfect for you.

I got a rotary tool and have thought of giving it a go but always figured it would melt too easily.

Have a look these two additions they will change modeling for you. The peddle can be had for about 55 dollars, Foredom is the best i have one for 20 + years now and i use it for work every day. The flex shaft and hand pc, is a little over 20 dollars. The peddle will run any motor tool from 0 to its max RPM, you can go so slow its like hand sanding.

I do have a flex shaft but never thought to put some sort of Potentiometer to control it, definitely looking into that foot switch, thanks for the info.
