Revell Grease Movie 1948 Ford

I just finished this Revell kit of the 1948 Ford from the Grease movie for a best friend. I have never seen the movie but saw some clips getting reference material for the build. I am certain Revell took their regular kit of the car and modified it a bit, particularly with new decals, to make this Grease version. It was more than work than I originally thought it would be and while the parts were excellent the instructions were crappy. I also stripped the chrome parts and repainted with SpazStix chrome for a much more realistic finish. This is in memory of his deceased wife who loved the movie and bought the car but never built it. It was not a kit for the novice builder for sure but it turned out very nicely. Great classic car model.

Nice build !
Can't believe that Grease wasn't a big part of your life as it was mine.
I played Kenickie in my high school's musical production (the owner/driver of "Greased Lightning") and it was one of the most memorable parts of my high school experience.
This was long before the movie was ever conceived and incorporated a much more accurate glimpse of that particular time period in American culture.
Wouldn't trade my experience in the 60's for anything.
