I wouldn't worry too much about getting paint on the canopy while trying to hand paint the frame. If you do get any paint on the canopy just let it dry and take a toothpick and run it around the edge of the frame. The paint comes right off and you're left with a decent looking canopy. I m oGot a lot of paint down on it, and went through about a 1/2 roll of masking tape making everything off.

I am pleased with the canopy. I think that is the best job I've done so far with painting the frame.

Looks really good to me!! Don't worry about the decals or the weathering; it takes some time and practice (I STILL have issues doing both on aircraft!), and the "Revellogram" F-14 is a bit of a pain to build to begin with! I think you did pretty well on this!I'm calling this one done. Not my best job, but not my worst.

I made it where the canopy can be removed so you can get a good look in the cockpit.
I know I goofed on the decals, but that was me being tired when I was putting them on. I also went with light weathering or at least I tried. Very much a novice when it comes to modern aircraft.
