I love the F-4 and enjoy building kits with detail. Even at the steep price, I'd consider the RP 1:32 F-4, but not sure about a B version. It doesn't seem like the most famous or iconic variant. Maybe a J for a "Showtime 100" build or a C for Robin Olds' Scat XXVII ??? Is there a particular squadron or marking that makes the F-4B popular with modelers?

The VF-111 Sundowners tail is probably the main reason.
That's the reason that I built it.
It's definitely a dramatic tail flash! Are there any particular operations or aerial engagements that you associate with that squadron?
Nope. I've just always liked the setting sun tail. There are a lot of what I would consider bland tail flashes but that one really leaps out at you.
