So...I went a little crazy last night and finished building the Dreadnought that had languished on my work bench for more than a year!
Okay, a LOT crazy, but it'll be killer with paint and decals...
Here she is with the first coat of primer-
I found a seller on Shapeways with great turbolaser like turrets, then got missie launchers from Studio Bergstrom (with tons more turrets in-scale to replenish the parts box) and yet more AA turrets from my favorite donor kit- the original Space Battleship Yamato mini-kit.
Here's the ventral side- still gotta add the radar dish but you get the idea.
I've made tons of custom decals to go with her- including doors for those four large hangar bays!
As you can see, she's pretty well armed to the teeth- I was considering making her the Perigrine- General Bel Iblis' flagship.
In the Timothy Zahn novels, it's described as being a "heavily refit" Dreadnought...
