Ray Harryhausen, special-effects legend, dies at 92

Ray Harryhausen pioneered stop-motion animation, creating classics such as 'The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms,' and 'The 7th Voyage of Sinbad.' Without his work, 'there never would have been a "Star Wars" or a "Jurassic Park,''' Steven Spielberg said.

I grew up on your movies. May you rest in peace.

He was one of my FX Icons growing up.
One of my all time favorites of his work was "Jason and the Argonauts".
He will be missed.

Honestly, no joke, I thought he passed at least two decades ago. Loved his stuff as a kid growing up. To this day "20 Million Miles to Earth" is one of my favorite Sci Fi movies. Ymir....awesome!

That is on my watch list.....It will be done this week.

A sad day indeed.
No Harryhausen would mean no Phil Tippett or Stan Winston.
A long lost art.
