I will show my finished models here and my first model out is this Sherman Firefly from Airfix in 1/72 scale. I added it with details from Black Dog. I used colors from Vallejo and I made washes with a mix of Abteilung 502 and thinner. The kit was really fun to work with.

Nice Sherman!

Curious about the markings, is it in Russian service? Velikye Luki makes me think so, but there's a long barrel and white star on it too,

It's British. According to a document on British vehicle names, during the fighting in Normandy, Velikye Luki belonged to 3 Troop, 'A' Squadron, 1st Northamptonshire Yeomanry, 33rd Armoured Brigade.

The triangle on the turret rear indicates 'A' Sqn, but the white colour seems odd, because that means the squadron is not part of a brigade — but the Northamptonshires were part of 33 Brigade at the time. Doing a small amount of research, the battalion was senior in the brigade, so it should have been marked with a red triangle rather than a white one.

Here is a german Hetzer from UM in 1/72. In my opinion it was little bit difficault to esamble bacause of the PE parts but i am pleased with the result. The stowage is from Black Dog.

Thats amazing! It's hard to believe it's 1/72 scale.

That looks very good. I especially like the weathering. I am tempted to try 1/72 but everytime I open a box I think "it's so tiny!"

Here is a british Cruiser Crusader mk lll (Desert) in 1/72 and the kit is from Hasegawa. But i think it was a Matchbox kit from the beginning.

Never a Matchbox kit :) If it was Matchbox it would have included a diorama — I was a little surprised when I discovered that nobody else did that :) I do think this same kit was also sold in a Revell box, though.
