So a guy was clearing out his dad's house apparently, and needed to move his dad's kits quickly. I noticed he had that old Dora rail gun, so I asked how much. He said 100 bucks and it had been started. Well the work performed was minimal and done well so I jumped on it. Since some parts were mixed with other kits he gave me all of these for the same hundred bucks. I tossed him the rest of the cash I had, so 140 bucks. I cant wait to build these.

Most of these have tons of aftermarket stuff in them as well. This Dora has been a dream kit of mine. I intend to build it perfect enough to do his dad's proud.

That is a great haul. Pantherman

Best part is I ended up going snd doing some computer work for a lady I do computer work for from time to time afterwards, and so Im gonna go back tomorrow and get some more stuff.

I don't know how much of an accuracy nut you are, but I recently learned that the barrel on the Dora kit is far too long. It almost looks like they took the length for the barrel including a proposed extension for firing "arrow" projectiles, and then stretched the real barrel shape to that length.

But regardless, that must be the deal of the year :)

Came here expecting to see an FW190D, this was a cool surprise and nice find, not even mentioning the price.

Ive always wanted that Dora kit, and he just threw the rest in. Who am I to say no? I went back today and dropped another Benjamin. Got another stack of kits at 5-10 bucks each, many with lots of aftermarket goodies. INCLUDING Italeris big 34 scale Shcnellboot with the Lion Roar set. 5 bucks. Tamiya FULL Dragon Wagon in 35 scale. I need to go back get a couple WWII American tanks for that and the Landing Craft.

The mother load!
So, El Dorado isn't a myth!
No, El Dorado isn't a myth, our private road is of the same name (the wife named it) no gold but 400 acres of trees that we are in the process
turning into gold, although at a very high cost of life and limb.

So Mr P, just how many lifetimes have you put aside to complete all these kits?
Oh, and a hundred bucks for that haul? What caliber weapon did you use to close that deal?

What a great deal just on the Dora gun itself. That kit is going for around $800-$1000 depending on where you get it from what I'm seeing. WOW!!! Score of a life time. That puppy outta take up a fair amount of room too.

You've got work for the rest of your life! So, I only have Trumpeter's Leopold, which I'm also preparing to start building, along with a German steam locomotive (BR-86). Good work.
