As a kid, I saw the old "Robotech" 1/100 "armored factory" set and had always wanted it, but money was tight (grew up lower working class). Years later with my 1/72 Valkyries and Destroids, I wanted the factory, but 1/100 wasn't going to work.

How it started:

Where it ended up:

Materials used: mat board, masking tape, styrene, cardboard (heavy uncorrugated pasteboard), acrylic paints, hot melt glue.

That looks awesome! Industrial weathering spot on! And the vehicles really give us a sense of scale...

Thanks! The original kit in 1/100 had vehicles (I don't remember if it had figures or not), but I wanted to make it look like an active factory. I added even more figures since then; I'll see if I can get a photo shoot of it in its' current configuration alter on today or tomorrow (going to be nearly 100 degrees today! o_O )
Great upscale to 1/72!
Thanks! Yeah, I always wanted this kit, but could never afford it when ti came out, then it was out of production when I finally could! THEN I discovered it was too small for my 1/72 mecha!

As it stands, this is only one bay of the two-bay kit, so sometime I'll have to see about building another bay! O.O
