I'm sure any of us over the age of 50 or so will remember a somewhat obscure Sci-fi movie that came out in 77 or around there called Damnation Alley.
It was supposed to be the be-all end all Sci-fi flick of the year, but then another movie came, essentially wiping the box-office with it and shuffling off to cult obscurity (Star Wars, I'm sure you've probably heard of it).
Needless to say, it flopped, but it was, for the time actually a pretty good movie. Bit of stale concept now, end of the world, survivors banding together to survive, etc.. but at the time, outside of "The Omega Man" and maybe Planet of the Apes, there weren't a lot of these films out yet.
Anyway, my point is, there was a somewhat fantastic vehicle in the movie, a genuinely functional 12-wheeled armored truck, called the Landmaster. This thing is impressive, having a functioning 3-wheeled axle, configured into a triangular hub, which was functional.
Anyone ever heard of a kit being produced? Anyone ever make one?
I found a few resin facsimiles on ebay, but they're pretty rough. I think that would make a pretty cool model kit, or project.
It was an impressive beast.
Here are a couple of photos of it, (from the film set) and an interesting video about it.

Oh yea remember this one and the slightly cheesy movie. Monster vehicles like this are very cool like the land trains of the arctic back in the 60s and the mammoth truck from speed racer. I think it was Ford that also made a huge tandem rig concept.

I can't say I've ever heard of the movie, but other than the wheel assemblies, that vehicle looks relatively easy to scratchbuild: it's all flat plates. For the basic shape, you would need to cut plates from plastic card with the cross-section of the hull, brace them together and then just glue the skin to them from more plastic card. Sure, there will be more to it than that, but it doesn't have that complex a shape to build.
