So I just picked up a handful of nice kits:

Hasegawa 1/72 F-15J JASDF http://www.ebay.com/itm/130623070581?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Hasegawa 1/72 MiG-29 http://www.ebay.com/itm/150725434800?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Revell 1/72 Su-27 & MiG-29 http://www.ebay.com/itm/310367902442?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Tamiya 1/72 F-16 http://www.ebay.com/itm/220919336412?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Tamiya 1/72 F-4G http://www.ebay.com/itm/220918827479?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
and
Hasegawa 1/72 F-16 http://www.ebay.com/itm/250958169172?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

So my general questions are:
What aftermarket parts are recommended for these kits, if any?
Should I turn any of these around (ie not worth my time)?
Any hang-ups to watch out for on these kits?
Anyone have any pics of their builds of these kits to share?

Hasegawa 1/72 F-15s are great kits and you probably won't have to worry about any aftermarket in the cockpit, but the older ones do have raised panel lines.

Hasegawa's 1/72 MiG-29 is really inaccurate, but I don't remember the exact issues with it other than the fact that the general dimensions are off.

Revell's 1/72 Su-27 is a reboxing of Hasegawa's kit and a nice kit, though it has some inaccuracies. The nose is one of the ones I can remember off the top of my head. A couple companies make a resin nose for it. I think there is a rather detailed build-up of it on Linden Hills site. I fear the MiG-29 is Hasegawa's as well, but they may have made their own or reboxed one of the other companies who made a 1/72 MiG-29

I didn't even know Tamiya made a 1/72 F-16 nor a 1/72 F-4.

Hasegawa's 1/72 F-16s are older kits, but still nice kits.

What I like to hear so far. I know Hasegawa kits are generally pretty good. The raised/recessed panel lines are my biggest concern. Final good looking output trumps accuracy most of the time for me...

If you Google kit name, scale and "review" you can usually find lots of reviews and builds.

Any way you look at it, you have a ton of options. Never a bad thing. Also, it looks like you got some great deals on the kits. I look forward to seeing the builds!

Reboxing of the awful Italeri 1/72 what is supposed to be a Su-33. If you really want a Su-33, buy the new, awesome and 20% cooler Hasegawa one that came out not too long ago. Probably the best Flanker kit available at the moment with a good general outline and superb detail, but still has some accuracy issues.

Yeah, I just picked up Revell's Flanker...not too bad for a starter. But that Hasegawa Su-33 is now at the top of my list...absolutely fantastic detail on it!!

The vintage Hasegawa F-16 Falcon is decent, with engraved panel lines. But I'd like to get a super-detailed one eventually...any recommendations??

And all the F-15 kits I picked up have nasty raised panel lines...what's a good suggestion for a good kit with engraved ones? I looked at the F-15E resource site and didn't find any mention of one with these qualifications...

The best F-16 is the old Revell kit followed by the Hasegawa. The Academy and the Hobby Boss 1/72 F-16s have lots of issues and inaccuracies. The only way you will get a 1/72 super detailed F-16 will be to detail it yourself with aftermarket and scratch building.

There is no F-15E in 1/72. All the kits in 1/72 marketed as F-15Es are not. Hasegawa's 1/72 F-15s are the best available, though the older kits do have raised lines. Some have recessed lines. Avoid the newer Fujimi kit since it's way off scale from 1/72.
