Plastic sands just fine. Glues up without too much problem.
Only real complaint I ever had with the kit (this is actually my second build) was the stiffness of the pose.

As to color, well, some of you have already guessed what the majority will be.
Three words:
Testors Graphite Dust

There will be accents in the same blue i used on my Apollo viper build

All right, here we go with the final update:

Model under a base of grey primer




Model with a base coat of Kyrlon's "Global Blue"



After masking off several sections, I gave the model a coat of Testors Graphite Dust.
The "Omega 7" markings were printed up on white decal paper.
The leg markings were from another sheet.
The visor was picked out with blue metallic.
And, lastly, the big gun was put onto his shoulder

But seriously, Q.. Great job. I totally agree with you, about the stiffness of the pose of the original kit. It's doubly disappointing because the cover art shows him in a much better pose.
