Hello. I'm a flying boat enthusiast who within the last year or so rejoined the plastic model building hobby. I'm seeking advice on weathering sea craft like my Martin Marlin below. I've never attempted to do so, but I'd like to "level-up my game" on future builds. Thanks

Welcome to the site new member here to love sea planes and worked for Chalks airlines in Florida, Grumman Mallards and Albatrosses from Miami to the western Bahamas. They dont take much perse wear from the water so you may want to try for a more aged look like Airborne01 mentioned. Good luck brother.

Welcome!
I'm really interested to see what advice you get. I have a PBY and a Sunderland flying boat waiting to hit the workbench. I will be making use of the advice you receive a little further down the road.
By the way, that kit in your initial posting looks great!

It was my favorite job in my life fly on a sea plane every 10 days to bimini gran bahama and cat cay. Making sure all the equip was good at the terminals then spent the rest of the day fishing or just walking the towns visiting the people i got to know till i could get a seat home.

Thank you! That means a lot given just how difficult it was to put together. It's one of those 70's-ish kits wherein almost every single piece came with fit issues. And the decals were pieces together from various sheets. Haha that's what makes good memories though!
