Used new pair of tweezers I've been saving for an emergency: tonight, manipulating the PP wiper blades they worked flawlessly.
Super fine tip, angled approach, solid legs that stay aligned!

Above, for comparison, my finest from 2 years ago, and the curved workhorse from 6 years ago.

And here is a grooved diamond stone for honing older tweezer tips back into shape.

... Got tired of straight edge, mat and .060 in styrene sheet slipping in every direction.
The square lip secured against the mat edges for a more positive hold.

Well, you are, at least, more awake than I am: I have one of these sitting right on my workbench, and I never thought of this! 🖖🫡

What's the wavy cut-out for? The peaks seem to line up with the markings on the ruler.
Scribe marks. Pivot point is at the bottom of the speed square. You can either make part of a circle or you can make a straight line say on a piece of plywood by sticking your pencil in the mark corresponding with how many inches you want to make a scribe mark from the edge of the plywood

Nice! With a background in graphics and a bit of drafting, have always been fascinated with measuring, scoring and marking tools.
I remember being gobsmacked the first time I saw someone use a tick stick! 😲
I've always been fascinated by drafting tools. My first, and only drafting set has the old, adjustable pen nibs—the kind you dip in an ink bottle. By the way, those old pen nibs are great for applying medium and thick CA, as well as PVA glue.

Yes! I would be very interested in how the LED lamps work
Well I'm impressed initially. Light weight with either a headband or stems, the led lights can be independently on or off with a good brightness and coloured lenses if white light gives too much glare. Eyepiece and light positions can be changed and are again independent so could be used with different lens for either eye if you want. Choice of lenses is very good with combinations to get insane magnification.

I will update the review after a few weeks of use to see if they really are as good as they seem. Pantherman
