Happy 50th Birthday to Bassist Cliff Burton !!

Well, today would have been Cliff Burton's 50th Birthday ! He was the Original bassist for Metallica ! He died when Their tour bus flipped over in Europe Sept. '86 .

I've always thought Cliff was the soul of that band. He was the one who brought all the Lovecraft stuff into their songs (The Thing That Should Not Be, Call of Ktulu etc). I'm a huge horror fan, so I always appreciated that. Not to mention, he was a phenomenal, unique bass player. Master of Puppets was the last great Metallica album in my opinion (though I did enjoy the angular and progressive sounding song structures on Justice for All). RIP Cliff!

I remember seeing Metallic backed up by Anthrax ,that must have been '84/85 ' I know it wasnt long before he was killed .....Man they were loud .... lol
