Hi, i am new here and i wanted to post my diorama. I worked on it this year and i put it in my local county fairs and got 2 blue ribbons. It was the only scale model in both fairs so i guess i got first haha. It was a blast and i really had a lot of fun. I would like to get more into it. Here are some pictures. Im starting another one for next year and im already going to change a few things. One thing i have seen is to do a coat of german red brown underneath everything for paint chipping? If you guys have any suggestions on things to try different on my next one i would really appreciate it!6577C6FB-017B-4123-87C5-3F29D6EB3572.jpeg

Welcome to the forum. Really nice work, very detailed.
I usually prime in the german red/brown then hand brush hairspray onto the area's I am going to chip later. Then apply water, wait a minute and use a rough brush to chip away the top coats.
That's my way but I'm sure you will find your own way. Plenty of helpful tips on YouTube.
