Howdy Everyone,

I have been sort of looking around for a "definitive" figure modelers bible (especially for conversions). SO far the only figure book I have is Squadrons Converting and Detailing Plastic Figures by Bill Chilstron. Any other recommendations out there, that a person should be looking for?

I have this one in my collection ,and I keep going back and reading it again and again ,not only is it a good source of info ,but the book is beautifully written and laid out ,and all the figures within are first class .

I also have this FAQ book ,althought it is a good book for Painting ,its incredibly over priced now !!!

Chris.

Thanks Chris, I will look into those. I have noticed some books seem ridiculously over priced on Amazon, makes you wonder what some people are smoking sometimes ;D

Forge world have done some great books that covers a wide variety of techniques both for diorama building and conversion + painting techniques. It's based around the 28mm models they themselves produce but it can easily be applied to other figures.

I have some of the old Velinden books as well, they're great but also a bit old.

But to be honest, the bible for modeling and converting is in my opinion the internet ;) Loads of great stuff, and most of it is even free :D
