Enterprise NCC-1701 B

Yesterday I started work on the Enterprise B. So far I am really not impressed with the quality of this kit. Lots of gap filling and ....low and behold ... a defective part. Joy. Oh and my decals from Don's Light and Magic that I ordered 10 days ago has yet to show up. Not that I need them right away. Fortunately Round 2 is located in the same state as me so hopefully I can get the replacement part quickly.

Nasty problem, that nacelle.

And, bear in mind that, for the most part, the Enterprise B kit is still much the same kit as originally issued.
They retooled the saucer bottom and the neck (I think), but that was it.

From what I understand this was originally the Excelsior mold. They made a few changes to it for Enterprise B, destroying any chance for an Excelsior re-release. Maybe Polar Lights can do it some justice at some point including aztec decals. No matter. We'll make a go of it and with a little elbow grease it will turn out fine.
