enterprise d snap together mount

Hello. I am building the above mentioned model and eventually want to mount it. There is no mount spot for it out of the box. How do you recommend I mount it and what do I need to do it?

Also, could I have an idea of what color and brand you would use for the blue deflector, blue nacel and gray phaser banks.

If it were me, I'd use one of the small dome and rod type bases Round 2 is using for the 1/2500 scale Enterprise-D. Just drill a hole the size of the rod or if you haven't yet built it, put in something to keep it steady and secure while on the base so it's not rolling around every which way. I know they do make kind of "plugs" for the rod. Maybe one of those would work.

As for the colors, I like french blue for the nacelle grilles, some kind of light, bright blue for the deflector and any kind of gray works well for the phasers at that scale. Aggressor gray would be my guess.
