Nice one :) Though if I may say so, it would look more like a Dunkirk Churchill if you added the remains of the waterproofing as well. The real Beefy had shards of fabric still attached to the turret, after it had been blown apart by the detonating cord underneath, as well as on the gun muzzle:

HI Jakko.
Im hoping to do some in 1.35th and will definately do the Bostik etc,Ive got the Through the lens book on Dieppe and its a subject i like.Well im a Churchill nerd,Im sure i shall trawl the stands at Telford for stuff,I know i need to get some more Afv Club early Churchill tracks for sure,It was bit of a rush job to get something ready for Telford.I might see if i can get another couple of these kits,I want the one with wading stacks if i can get it at the show,Didnt you do a Dieppe Churchill?.
Cheers fella.

I've only built two AVREs and a Mk. VI, but would like to do a Dieppe one someday … If you want, I have the real-world deep-wading instructions as a PDF that I could send you.

They do look good in Dieppe guise.Ive got a broken stripped down Afv Club Dieppe Churchill kit which needs some serious TLC.Im glad i bought x2 International models Asia Mark 1 and 2 conversions as they seem to have stopped trading.Marcos Panzer Serra kindly did me some decal artwork for a Mark 1 in U.k service c1942.I do like the Mark 1 and 2 and the Reworked ones with twin howitzers in Tunisia. The wading stuff sounds great thanks.Im sure Afv Club wont do the Mark 1 as its a change from Mark 3 onwards.
Cheers Jakko.

I noticed that earlier this year, too. Makes me regret slightly that I didn't buy one of those conversion sets, too.

the Reworked ones with twin howitzers in Tunisia.
I'm not familiar with that, I think. Is it with a 3-inch howitzer in both the hull and turret?

They do a Mk. VII as well, though, which also requires major changes to the Mk. III/IV/V/VI parts. But I'm not expecting one any time soon :)

Yes they mounted twin howitzers in Tunisia.North irish horse springs to mind,I have an old Tamiya Magazine with a build by Mike Rinaldi,He uses a Panzer 111 cupola on his tank,Marcos Serra does some great builds on his website. If you desperately wanted to do a Mark 1 i could maybe help you out with one.

Beware that the Airfix Churchill is a really, really ancient kit, though :) It's nowhere near the standard of those Dragon ones Richard has, and the wheels are especially fun to assemble. (I built their Churchill Bridge Layer once, backdating it to a Mk. III/IV hull as it should be for a wartime vehicle.)

I've been thinking occasionally of building a Crocodile in 1:35 from the AFV Club Mk. VII plus a Tamiya trailer and flame gun, but that trailer is apparently undersize, which would need correcting …

Dragon makes a 1/72 croc? Didn't see it.

I don't think they do :) What I meant is that Airfix's Churchill has a lot less detail than Dragon's Churchills and is harder to assemble as well. Largely due to poorer fit (because it's from the 1960s rather than the 2000s) and all those separate wheels.
