First the young one must open the image, then find the edit button, look for the tiny half sun and click on it, add 20% to the brightness. This is the way.Very swish. I wont say "as usual" cause, well you know how it goes sometimes... or doesn't.

Awesome build! The details and patience it takes is amazing. I can only imagine what it was like in the pits watching these guys tune and crank that beast up! The grins must have been huge! Great job
Thank you Holz, i gave it about all they had for parts back then. The pits was a cool place no big trailers or tents and tables full of parts. Most crews only had one maybe two engines, and they ran up to 12 rounds to win, entries could be as high as 30 cars in the class, and they ran them all. Most didnt have remote or on board starters, they were push started in the staging lanes. If the car didnt fire or had a problem their day was done. No burn outs or dry hops, fire it up stage and mash the gas when the flag dropped, tires smokin the whole way.

Thanks Demo, i like motoring history no matter what it is, even if its actually a real car or my take, doing period correct builds is my favorite . I enjoy the machines of the past because they are more individual and not so cookie cutter like modern racing vehicles. Im going to do two 1936 Fiat topolino altereds next, one will be an early design, what would be a metal body kind of crude and awkward in the way its built, the second will be the next step in the evolution of the early alterds a more purpose built chassis and fiberglass body. Im trying to put together a group of early altereds and diggers, ( short rails) so when i do my drag track surface this summer i can line them up for some nice picture sets.
