Was going to do the group build but with schedule thru Dec wouldn't be able to finish but want to do one anyways.
Going to convert to 4x4. Looks like a nice kit, well packaged few issues with the molding and flash. The chrome is a bit wavy but will cover some if not all anyways..
Didn't get as much done as I had hoped but at least some done..So far finished sanding and painted the body, finished the engine with a dipstick. Will wire and plumb the engine once in chassis..
So, here are the plans. Make a thru way from cab to bed and cover the bed with a roll cage and SAS style gun station with a hard mounted MG, havne't decided on the M60 or a M2. Any suggestions or comments welcomed..
thanx
Not as much done as I wanted but so far cleaned out the back of the grill and drilled it out..Finished up the passage between cab and bed and some done of the bed racks.
Thanx, still have a ways togo. I like working with metal more but have a limited supply. Am going to use metal for the cow catcher and gun position..Is there a U.S. dist for the Dawn products? The sites that I go thru don't carry them.
thanx
Had some time between shifts. Built a couple of tools, the picaxe didn't turn out to well but may keep it anyway, did 2 shovels and a saw. Finished the cans and started to plumb the engine..
More photos of todays session..Shovels,the remote base and gun, still have a bit left on the gun to complete and scupted a few bags and a leather rucksack and the most important item. A keg, this one's wood but I couldn't buy a real one in this size..LOL..
Able to get a bit done but can't finish the 4 link in the rear and the redone front suspension until the tires ordered arrive sometime next week per shipper.Backlogged due to time of year per them...Anywho. Ditched the original center structure and built a structure over the cab and spanners to link to rear cage. Finished the high-lift jack, new shovel and holder, tool box keg, interior in cab, sleeping bag, leather satchel and cheap tarps..
