Cylon Raider – Moebius Models – 1/32

Here's another addition to my collection. This time it is a model of the new series Battle Star Galactica and it’s Cylon Raider in 1/32 scale. It was released by Moebius Models and scale corresponds to their pre released Viper Mk. II and MK. VII.
The instructions are pretty simple, but the whole building process is well described in text and drawings.

The set consists of four frames of gray plastic and one clear. Included is a base for the model from transparent plastic composed of two parts.
Model itself consists of 24 parts in gray plastic and 3 parts transparent.

Stand, front view window and the inside of engines.

The lower part of the center fuselage, upper part of the "head", side engines, rear engine nozzles, guns

The lower part of the right wing and air intakes

The lower part of the left wing and the lower part of the "head" and the FDL engine

The upper part of the hull and engine covers
The model is nicely molded and judging by his appearance there should not be any problems with assembly and needs large amounts of filler. Thanks to the transparent elements it is possible to highlight the model, but the set does not contain any lights and you would have to prepare it yourself.
The model is interesting and fairly simple to do. I do recommend it to any BSG fans as well as other modelers who want to try something different and expand their collections with the interesting item.
