Hello,

Does anyone have any go-to techniques for removing dust after priming?

I know that the best solution is to not let any accumulate in the first place, and I'm working on that.

I prime almost exclusively with Vallejo primers. Is it safe to brush the primed model with a wet brush?

Also, if I use a tack cloth and it leaves some residue, will it impact the coat of paint? The residue is not sticky, just visible on the surface of the primed model.

I'm hoping some forum members have some experience with the above, and hopefully it's as a simple as wiping with a wet brush.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Dunno about "go-to" status, but I have been noticing that I sometimes have issues with dust and tiny little fibers/hairs/debris thanks to the zoom ability of common cell phones.

For that reason I have started using a static brush to clean the primer surface before spraying the color coat. I used some items designed for vinyls albums, I think most of us here are old enough to remember those. But I finally gave in and bought the Tamiya version, I can say it works well. I try to brush the surface and IMMEDIATELY start painting.
