Can someone help this old guy with first model

Hi,
This is my first scale model and was hoping someone can help me. I try to line up the body but the top part doesn't fit together and not sure why. Nevermind, I am an idiot and figured it out but cant figure out how to delete this post.

Yep no biggie. It's best to read the instructions and then test fit and repeat. Works for me. And I need all the help I can get

Rob's advice, above, is probably the best tip of all: test-fit parts without glue so you can figure out how they're supposed to go together, and it will also let you see if there are fit problems you need to resolve first. For example, if you overlooked a sprue attachment point, it will probably get in the way of proper fit, so you'll notice it and can clean it up before reaching for the glue

I sometimes use the principle of 'Application of relevant stress factors, coupled with a systematic appraisal of desired end result within desired time parameters' - and if that fails I smack it with a ball peen hammer and throw it the bin ... works for me ... !
